Privacy Policy
Plan B Atlas is run for US citizens researching a move abroad. We collect as little as we can, never sell your data, and use it only to run the site and deliver what you ask for. This page explains exactly what we hold and why.
What we collect
- Report intake: when you buy a Plan B report, the answers you provide (name, email, destination, situation, income type, budget, US city, timeline, priorities, and any notes).
- Contact messages: your name, email, and message when you use the contact form or email us.
- Payment confirmation: PayPal sends us a confirmation and order ID so we can deliver your report — we never receive or store your card or bank details.
- Basic analytics: privacy-respecting usage data (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) to understand what's useful.
How we use it
We use your information to generate and deliver your personalized report, to email it to you and reply to your questions, to process your payment, and to keep the site secure and improve it. That's it. We do not sell your data, and we don't use your intake answers for advertising.
The services we rely on
We use a small number of trusted providers, each handling only what they need to:
- PayPal — payment processing. Your payment details go to PayPal directly, under PayPal's own privacy policy; we only receive a confirmation.
- Anthropic (Claude) — generates your report from the intake you provide. Used to create your document, not to train models on your data.
- Resend — sends transactional email (your report and our replies).
- Vercel — hosts the site and processes requests.
- Analytics — aggregate, privacy-respecting usage measurement.
Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies to run the site and lightweight analytics to measure usage. We don't run third-party advertising trackers. You can block cookies in your browser; the core site will still work.
Retention
We keep your report and order record for as long as needed to provide support and meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize it. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights & choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop emailing you. Depending on where you live (for example under US state privacy laws), you may have additional rights. To make a request, email [email protected] — we'll verify and respond within a reasonable time.
Children
Plan B Atlas is intended for adults making relocation decisions. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
